Central Kitchen Project Breaks Ground

Lund-Ross Constructors proudly celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Central Kitchen at 1127 N. 20th Street, launching a $14 million renovation that will transform a long-vacant 19,000-square-foot building into a state-of-the-art facility for CHI Health. Scheduled to open in Fall 2027, the kitchen will prepare nearly 2,800 patient meals daily while creating up to 100 jobs, with a strong focus on hiring North Omaha residents. This project represents meaningful reinvestment in the community, turning an underutilized space into a hub of opportunity, growth, and revitalization.
