Lund-Ross Constructors Honored with Safety Awards
Named One of the “Safest Companies in the Greater Omaha Area”
Omaha, Neb., May 15, 2008 – Lund-Ross Constructors was awarded a silver honor and was named one of the Omaha metro area’s “safest companies” by the National Safety Council, Greater Omaha Chapter. This is the second year in a row that Lund-Ross’s safety record was honored by the Council. The awards were handed out at the 2008 Safety and Health Summit at the Qwest Center Omaha.
The National Safety Council, Greater Omaha Chapter works to reduce both the personal and economic loss associated with injuries, accidents and health hazards. Greater Omaha was designated a Safe Community by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2007 and was the fourth such designation in the U.S. The Greater Omaha Chapter reaches almost four million in Nebraska, Iowa and beyond.
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) also honored Lund-Ross’s safety program this year with its highest honor, a Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Platinum Award. ABC represents over 24,000 contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers advocating the merit shop philosophy of high-quality construction at competitive rates.
