Lund-Ross Wins National Award for Brandeis Renovation

Project Tops List of America's Best

Omaha, Neb., March 9, 2011 – Lund-Ross Constructors was honored for the second year in a row at the Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Awards. Lund-Ross Co-owner Brent Williams accepted an Eagle Award for the historic restoration of the Brandeis Building at the 21st annual awards celebration on Feb. 22 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Orlando, Fla.

The Brandeis was chosen as one of America’s best construction projects by a panel of industry experts from organizations like the Design-Build Institute of America and the American Institute of Architects. The Excellence in Construction awards program is the industry’s leading competition, developed to honor innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects and safety programs.

Lund-Ross took over a failed redevelopment of the historic Brandeis Building in 2008, and completed an $18.3-million renovation in less than a year. Lund-Ross transformed the 105-year-old department store into luxury residential and commercial space with a restored façade and new windows, atriums, infrastructure and parking.

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national association with 75 chapters representing more than 23,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms with nearly two million employees. Lund-Ross joined ABC in 2002.
