Details
The 1000 Dodge building houses a unique combination of renovated lofts and new custom-built residences.
Six condominiums were built into each of the second and third floors, and a spacious roof-top deck was
added. The first floor offers commercial space, an exercise room and tenant storage, and the basement level
was converted into private parking. The construction of the third story addition to the existing building and
the customization of each condo created challenges during construction. Working in the heart of downtown
Omaha also proved to be difficult, but the project’s borders – 10th and Dodge streets – remained open
throughout construction. The project was honored with the 2004 Excellence in Construction Award in
historical renovation from the ABC Cornhusker Chapter.
