The Saint Gerald Church project consisted of building a new 24,000 square-foot church around an existing
5,000 square-foot structure. A unique element of the new sanctuary is the glulam timber trusses used in roof
system. Installation of the 16 foot tall and over 65 foot long trusses was a challenge; the trusses were
assembled on the ground and lifted into place with multiple cranes. The church was completed on time and
within the church’s budget.
