The Performing Arts Center at Iowa Western contains 45,000 square feet of floor space and totals
a volume of 2 million cubic feet. The facility houses one of the largest stages in the country and can
accommodate an audience of up to 640. The building is a combination of structural steel and
curved cast-in-place concrete walls. Incorporating the multiple operating systems within the facility
posed challenges during construction. The many unique aesthetic features in the structure
demanded constant communication and cooperation between Lund-Ross and the architect to
successfully complete the project.
