History

Lund-Ross Constructors, Inc. is the collaborative effort of Larry Lundquist and Horst Rossbund. Now in its 21st successful year, Lund-Ross is an award-winning general contractor with annual revenues between $30 and $35 million.
Sharing a combined 75 years experience in the construction industry, Larry and Horst launched Lund-Ross in 1987. The company’s first job was the conversion of downtown Omaha’s Mason School into apartments. The $1.2 million historical renovation was managed by Larry in the office and Horst on the jobsite, and was successfully completed with little staff.
Today Larry and Horst continue to prove themselves a dynamic team. A recent collaboration on the renovation of a century-old warehouse into the Jobbers Canyon Restaurant & Brewery in Omaha won Lund-Ross Project of the Year honors from the local chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.
Lund-Ross established its reputation in the late 1980s as a trusted general contractor with a knack for historical restoration. The revival of downtown Omaha’s historical district can largely be traced back to many Lund-Ross projects, including the Scouler Grain Corporation Headquarters, Hill Hotel, the Joslyn Lofts, Westin Aquila Hotel and the Farnam 1600 mixed-use development.
Twenty-one years later, Lund-Ross continues to reshape downtown. Lund-Ross completed a number of award-winning projects in the area in recent years, including the O’Keefe Elevator Headquarters, 1000 Dodge Condominiums, the Omaha Civic Auditorium lobby, the Paxton and the Rows at SoMa.
Larry and Horst co-own Lund-Ross with Field Operations Manager Brent Williams, one of the company’s first employees. Lund-Ross employs a full-time staff of over 35, many of whom joined Lund-Ross shortly after the company began.
Since its start in historical restoration, Lund-Ross has expanded to complete projects across the Midwest for churches, home owners, city governments, school districts and Fortune 500 corporations. Today Lund-Ross manages projects ranging from $200,000 to $20 million.
After 21 years, Lund-Ross Constructors continues to adapt and expand its vision to facilitate the goals of Midwest builders. |
